Here is a love and delicate draw-string bag made by one of the Moran girls, ca 1890's. I've included a closeup of the very fine needlework which still has very nice coloration in the threads.

Moran Crazy Quilt
It's in terrible condition. The backing is gone, there are holes in it, and the silk is falling apart but it's what we have of a crazy quilt that was most likely stitched together by Fannie, Ida and Marion Moran, late 1890's. The colors are still amazing. I was hoping to find some embroidered initials and maybe a date but so far no luck.
